THE EDWIN FOX MARITIME MUSEUM

A detailed history of the 9th oldest ship in the world - the Edwin Fox. A large collection of artefacts from on board the ship was found whilst cleaning between the frames. The Maritime Centre is located 100 metres from the Rail Ferry Terminal on the Picton Foreshore. Access is available to the ship and also the Graving Dock she is housed in. For more info click here

PICTON MUSEUM & HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Open daily 10am - 4pm. It is very informative and well worth a visit. There are particular items of interest to the whaling industry, which operated from Tory Channel and Port Underwood. There are also interesting displays on Maori, Early Settlers and Mythical interest from around the area.
